The people behind the curriculum
Each instructor at Varuno Cidrex has shipped at least one commercial mobile title. Their involvement in the curriculum is direct - they write the exercises, record the demonstrations, and answer questions live.
01 Approach
Demonstration before instruction.
Every technique is shown working in a real project context before the theory arrives. Participants see the outcome first, which gives the explanation something concrete to attach to. This sequence reduces the time between learning a concept and applying it independently.
02 Format
Structured sessions, practical output.
Each masterclass produces a tangible artifact - a prototype, a documented mechanic, or a tested UI pattern. The goal is that participants leave with something they built, not just notes from something they watched. Mobile game design is learned by doing, and the format reflects that.
14+
Distinct masterclass modules covering mechanics, UI, audio logic, and playtesting
8
Years of active curriculum development and instructor-led iteration
2×
Each module reviewed and updated per year based on participant feedback and industry shifts
03 Scope
Mobile-specific, not adapted from elsewhere.
The curriculum was built for mobile game design from the ground up, not adapted from general game design or graphic design courses. That distinction matters in practice: touch interaction, aspect ratio constraints, and session-length design are treated as primary concerns, not footnotes.
04 Access
Delivered entirely online, regionally grounded.
Varuno Cidrex operates as a virtual platform, which means participants from Ivano-Frankivsk and surrounding areas can access the same instruction as anyone else - without the friction of travel or scheduling around a physical location. The instructors are available for direct questions throughout each module.
